In a tragic incident in South Korea, only two flight attendants managed to survive a devastating Jeju Air plane crash.
The aircraft, carrying 181 individuals, was en route from Bangkok to Muan when it is believed to have encountered a bird strike.
The Boeing jet’s crash landing was captured in harrowing footage, showing it sliding on its belly at the airport. Although two crew members were miraculously found alive and conscious, one male attendant didn’t recall the horrifying event.
Doctors questioned him regarding his health, and he responded in confusion, asking, ‘What happened? How am I here?’ according to local news reports.
His last memory was fastening his seatbelt before the plane’s descent. Beyond that, he has no recollection of what transpired afterward.
He explained that he was positioned at the back of the aircraft, attending to passengers when the crash occurred. Unfortunately, he sustained injuries to his shoulders and head.
Taking place in South Korea’s South Jeolla province at approximately 9 am local time, the crash was preceded by a text from a family member onboard. They mentioned an inability to land due to a bird caught in the wing, marking one of the final messages sent to a loved one.
