A transgender woman is bringing attention to an upsetting experience she had when her gynecologist turned her away.

She revealed that the medical professional judged her without any initial meeting, which left her feeling understandably frustrated.

Furious over the incident, the trans woman sparked an uproar, insisting on legal accountability for the doctor’s actions.

Jessica Yaniv, a resident of Canada, further expressed her disbelief and sense of injustice on Twitter, where she shared her story of being mistreated.

“I am deeply hurt. How is this behavior deemed acceptable? I’m dealing with a genuine health concern, and it’s not right for doctors to act this way,” she conveyed.

At 32 years old, she described the difficulty in obtaining referrals, and now faced the additional trial of being turned away by a gynecologist’s office because they don’t treat transgender patients, which left her astonished.

Numerous online commentators expressed their disapproval of this behavior, questioning whether such practice was routine or even lawful, given it seemed quite unacceptable to many.
