Israel has recently confirmed receiving a significant shipment of heavy-duty bombs, with approval from former President Donald Trump.
A video surfaced online showing large cranes handling containers reportedly carrying these bombs, being loaded onto trucks at the port city of Ashdod.
The MK-84 is an unguided bomb weighing 2000 pounds. Under the Biden administration, the export of such bombs to Israel was initially denied due to concerns about their use in densely populated areas surrounding the Gaza Strip.
Remarkably, the previous administration held one shipment, but thousands of 2000-pound bombs were delivered to Israel after October 7, 2023, when tensions rose due to a Hamas attack from Gaza.
This escalation led to intense conflict with a notable loss of life. Recently, Trump confirmed removing the hold on this shipment, sending additional bombs to Israel, prompting further discussion and concerns.
Trump has clarified that Israel ordered and paid for these bombs, asserting that they were rightfully theirs, leading to his decision to grant shipment approval.

The hope remains that this does not signal the onset of widespread conflict, which is a significant concern. Currently, a ceasefire agreement is in place and functioning as intended, though there is apprehension that the delivery could potentially alter prevailing agendas.
