Delta Airlines Crash Survivor Describes ‘Mass Chaos’ Before Plane Flipped Upside-Down

A Delta Airlines passenger who lived through a terrifying crash has shared his experience of the chaos that unfolded when the plane flipped upside down.

The alarming incident took place on the runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

John Nelson was among the 80 individuals who miraculously survived the crash of Delta Flight 4819, which left 18 people injured.

In a conversation with CNN, Nelson explained that the conditions on the Canadian airport’s runways were quite unusual that day. The flight started normal, but the winds were extremely strong, and snow constantly swept across the runways.

The landing was unexpectedly rough, and there was a massive explosion on the left wing, leading Nelson to realize something was disastrously wrong.

Suddenly, the aircraft tipped over, leaving the passengers hanging upside down, resembling bats.

Although they made it through, it was sheer panic, with everyone fearing for their lives. Upon evacuating, seeing daylight felt like a chance to start anew. However, this sense of relief was short-lived as another explosion rocked the scene shortly after.
