Although Joe Biden no longer holds the presidency, he remains vocal about current political dynamics. A new nationwide poll has caught his attention, prompting a fiery response.

A recent survey by Marquette University, involving 1,005 adults from across the United States, has revealed that many Americans still hold Barack Obama in higher regard compared to Donald Trump. The poll results show 57% of respondents have a favorable opinion of Obama, while only 42% feel positively about Trump. This results in Trump having a net favorability score of -15 points, as opposed to Obama’s +17.
Biden’s Response
Biden’s response to these poll findings was anything but muted. At a Nebraska Democratic Party event in Omaha, he seized the opportunity to criticize Trump’s leadership and legacy. Particularly, he referenced Trump’s controversial choice to demolish part of the White House’s East Wing to construct a ballroom.
“I knew Trump was going to take a wrecking ball to the country, but I had no idea there would be an actual wrecking ball,” Biden remarked.
“It’s the perfect symbol of his presidency. Trump has taken a wrecking ball not only to the people’s house but to the Constitution, to the rule of law, to our very democracy.”

Biden did not stop there. He criticized Trump’s assertion that America is experiencing a “golden age.”
“He now claims we are quote ‘in a golden age.’ The only gold is the stuff he’s displaying on the mantle,” Biden continued. “You work for us, Mr. President. We don’t work for you. You work for us, not just for the billionaires and millionaires. I’m angry.”
His passionate comments come a few months after Biden publicly discussed his health challenges. In May, he announced he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
Fighting Spirit Amid Health Struggles
A statement from his office shared that:
“Last week, President Joe Biden was evaluated for a new finding of a prostate nodule after noticing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, with a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) and metastasis to the bone.”
After undergoing a round of radiation therapy, Biden reflected on his experience:
“I thank God for the doctors and the nurses, and the incredible advances in cancer research,” he expressed.
“Meanwhile, Trump and his Republican friends are cutting government funding for health care, making it more expensive for nearly everyone.”
Biden’s undiminished enthusiasm is evident, as his recent statements confirm his willingness to confront Trump and defend what he believes is crucial: the preservation of America’s democracy.
