Dad Outraged After Revealing Word Nurses Used To Refer To Him After Delivering Baby

A transgender father has led to a significant discussion online after expressing their shock and disappointment when hospital staff addressed them using incorrect pronouns.

The experience highlighted the importance of recognizing an individual’s chosen name and pronouns to respect their true identity.

Yet, despite understanding this need, some still struggle with outdated notions and may even refuse to accept the evolving perspectives on gender diversity.

Bennett Kaspar Williams, aged 37, shared the joy of welcoming their son Hudson into the world with their husband through a caesarean section. Although identifying as male and favoring the pronouns he and him, they describe themselves as non-binary, using both he and they.

This led to a challenging experience at the hospital where staff repeatedly referred to them as the mom instead of father, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Kaspar recounted that they embraced this change in 2014 after realizing they were transgender in 2011. While opting for top surgery, they decided not to undergo further surgical changes.

The journey of pregnancy and childbirth was a deeply fulfilling yet challenging experience for them. They felt disheartened by continually being addressed as mom by hospital staff. In the end, Kaspar felt compelled to speak out, emphasizing this behavior is unacceptable and must change.
