A transgender woman is speaking out about the immense anger she experienced when her gynecologist turned her away.

The woman recounted feeling judged even before meeting the healthcare professional, which left her deeply upset.

The outraged trans woman made the incident widely known and is now calling for legal action against the doctor, who she feels did not justify their refusal to see her.

Jessica Yaniv, from Canada, took to Twitter to express her shock, confusion, and feelings of mistreatment.

“I’m so hurt, how is this behavior acceptable? This is a medical issue I’m dealing with, and to have doctors act like this seems okay?” she expressed.

The 32-year-old explained how difficult it is to get a doctor’s referral, and having a gynecologist’s office reject her application or appointment because they don’t serve trans patients left her in disbelief.
