Astonishing footage has surfaced, capturing the heart-stopping moment when a kayaker was engulfed by an enormous humpback whale in the waters off Chilean Patagonia, only to be released after several intense moments.

Adrian Simancas, the adventurous kayaker, was enjoying the serenity of kayaking when suddenly he found himself face to face with a gigantic creature of the sea.

The whale came up from beneath the water without warning, and in no time, both Adrian and his bright yellow kayak were taken into the whale’s massive mouth. The entire dramatic episode was recorded by his father, Dell, who was kayaking just behind him.

Adrian described the experience as surreal, certain at one point that he wouldn’t survive. Darkness enveloped him, but soon he perceived light, water, and waves again, perceiving it as nothing short of a miracle.

His father, urging him to stay calm, advised him to swim over. Despite the fright, especially for his father’s safety and the risk of hypothermia, both managed to reach the shore safely, owing much to his father’s steady guidance.
