A tragic story has emerged from Oklahoma involving a young girl named Violet Mitchell, who sadly passed away after confiding in her neighbor about her family’s affection for her.
The little girl was taken to the hospital on August 2, where doctors were heartbroken to see her condition. Violet was extremely malnourished, and her tiny frame was just skin and bones, with her eyes sunken, revealing the neglect she had suffered.

Days before this sorrowful event, Violet’s kind-hearted neighbor had noticed something was amiss and decided to invite the young girl into her home out of concern. She had seen Violet hungry and had wanted to ensure she was fed.
With compassion, the neighbor prepared a meal for Violet, offering her chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and carrots. As they spoke, Violet only mentioned her parents loved her dearly, choosing not to share any negative details. Her emotions were mixed; tears filled her eyes even as she smiled, and eventually, the neighbor had to take her back to her home.
Upon investigation, medical experts discovered that Violet’s demise was attributed to a condition known as “failure to thrive,” which typically affects individuals who are severely neglected. Further investigations revealed a plastic baby bottle obstructing her small intestine.

Weighing only 29 pounds, Violet was found wrapped in a blanket and wearing a diaper suitable for a three-year-old, highlighting her severe malnourishment. This discovery was described as devastating by the doctors, adding to the tragedy of the situation.

The medical evaluation also uncovered severe bacterial infections and physical injuries, including bruising on her cheek, shoulder, and left leg. A worrying pale green discoloration on her stomach highlighted the deteriorating state of her health.
