Michelle Obama recently addressed the public following her husband, Barack Obama, attending the inauguration of Donald Trump by himself.

While Barack Obama was present at the ceremony, he skipped both the inauguration prayer at St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Inaugural Luncheon that followed.

At the event, he was joined by other former presidents and their spouses, alongside prominent tech billionaires such as Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook, and Elon Musk.

Also in attendance were notable figures like Rupert Murdoch, Joe Rogan, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

There have been whispers suggesting potential marital strain, especially since Michelle was not present at Jimmy Carter’s memorial service due to what was described as a ‘scheduling conflict.’ An insider commented: “She’s always been very deliberate about where and how she shows up.”

“She reluctantly attended the election events. While she supported her husband’s initiatives, she doesn’t feel the need to show unity for the likes of Trump.” Her absence, therefore, speaks volumes, according to the same insider.

Taking to Instagram, Michelle shared a heartfelt message honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., choosing not to mention the inauguration at all.

In a move that seemed to counter recent speculations, Barack Obama expressed his affection for Michelle on her birthday with an affectionate social media post:
