Sam Smith Says They Are Addicted To Tattoos After Surprising Fans In Stunning Silver Jumpsuit

Sam Smith has recently opened up about their growing affection for tattoos and shared their journey with fans. The celebrated non-binary singer, beloved by many, now boasts more than 35 tattoos, with some new additions gracing their belly and neck.

While talking with Roman Kemp at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball in London, Sam, who’s 30, expressed their enthusiasm: “I’ve got ‘romance’ tattooed on my belly and an anchor on my chest. Honestly, I can’t get enough—I’m now rocking 35-plus tattoos!”

Sam shared that they’ve recently taken a keen interest in decorating their torso. A fun fact—their love for Cheetos interestingly plays a role in their tattooing experience, helping to create the right mood for getting inked. “When we were getting the tattoos, we listened to loads of pop music and truly enjoyed the moment. Cheetos were part of the party too—they set the vibe!” Sam shared with a smile.

The conversation with fans followed a vibrant surprise as Sam dazzled attendees at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball, donning a striking silver jumpsuit that left quite an impression.

Identifying as non-binary since 2019, Sam has candidly spoken about grappling with their gender identity throughout life. They’ve recently embraced their natural curves and the joy of being photographed sans shirt.

“Normally, if I had a photo shoot where I even showed a little skin, I would starve myself weeks ahead, only to obsess over each photo until I took it down,” Sam reflected on past struggles.

Sam continued passionately, “Yesterday, I chose to reclaim my body, stepping away from the need to alter these hips, chest, and curves that my parents gifted me with love.”

Sam knows some might see these actions as self-indulgent, but they emphasize the courage it takes to embrace themselves and confront longstanding body image trauma.

Since proudly posting their first shirtless pictures in years, Sam seems more comfortable in their skin, exuding confidence in subsequent photoshoots.
