Update-

Per TMZ, Rene Nezhoda is speaking out following the death of his former “Storage Wars” co-star Darrell Sheets, claiming the reality star was the target of relentless online harassment in the months leading up to his passing.

In a video shared after the news broke, Nezhoda—who often clashed with Sheets on the show due to their competitive nature—said that despite their on-screen rivalry, the two had a genuine friendship behind the scenes. He admitted their relationship wasn’t always smooth but emphasized that he’s deeply saddened by Sheets’ death.

Nezhoda also alleged that Sheets had been dealing with significant cyberbullying, calling the behavior “merciless” and urging authorities to take those claims into account as they investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

He went on to express hope that the tragedy serves as a wake-up call about the real-world impact of online harassment. According to Nezhoda, people need to hold one another accountable for toxic behavior online—whether it’s directed at reality TV personalities, athletes, or anyone else in the public eye.

Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets has died at the age of 67.

According to a press release from the Lake Havasu City Police Department, Sheets died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Per Page Six, authorities were called to his home after receiving a report of a deceased individual, where they discovered Sheets.

“The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.”

“The body was ultimately turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation. The male subject has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City, and Darrell’s family has been notified,” the release added.

Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets’s death comes seven years after he suffered a heart attack in 2019, which led to a diagnosis of congestive heart failure and serious lung complications following months of illness.

Sheets was a fan favorite on Storage Wars, appearing in 163 episodes from 2010 through 2023. The long-running A&E series followed professional buyers bidding on the contents of abandoned storage lockers, a format that helped make him a standout personality.

Known by the nickname “The Gambler,” Sheets built a reputation for taking big risks, often placing high bids based purely on instinct. His bold approach occasionally paid off in major ways, including the discovery of valuable items such as rare artwork.

His son, Brandon Sheets, also appeared on the show, with the pair becoming a popular father-son duo among viewers.

According to Page Six, after stepping away from television, Sheets retired to Arizona, where he operated an antique store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk at the time of his death.

In his last Facebook post in March, Sheets talks about a cyber bully stalking him. He wrote, ” Well people here is my cyber bully stalker just letting people know if anything happens to me this him inspiringhummingbird6116, Jim Thacker , Jennifer mcneary and 100,s of spoof numbers , google , numbers , A page called show me your junk , and Darrell .TheClown.Sheets ,he has been going after other small business,s in town and harassing them using my name it is not me !
