In a move that’s sure to spark discussion, President Donald Trump has issued a new executive order.
The essence of this order revolves around the presence of American symbols across the globe. Trump insists on having only the Stars and Stripes—America’s beloved flag—gracing the flagpoles of United States buildings internationally.

The State Department has been directed to enforce a ban on displaying Pride and Black Lives Matter flags at all American premises worldwide. This enactment, the President has confirmed, is to take effect swiftly and decisively.

The President elaborated that only the American flag may be flown or showcased at U.S. government facilities, both domestically and abroad. Furthermore, this regulation extends to officially sanctioned American governmental content.
Trump stresses that the American flag embodies the country’s core values of justice, liberty, and democracy. In his view, these principles are fundamental, unchanging, and integral to the nation’s identity.

Despite these restrictions, the State Department facilities retain the option to hoist the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action flag, as well as flags representing Wrongful Detainees.
While the rainbow flag, often a symbol of LGBTQ pride, has been a divisive issue among Republicans, Trump’s position remains firm. He has signified a clear stance on gender recognition, accepting only the traditional binary perspective of male and female.
