Trump’s security team is on high alert, worried that Iranian spy aircraft or drones might aim at his Air Force One jet.
As a countermeasure, the President is traveling using decoy planes while his team utilizes the Air Force One. This strategy aims to mislead anyone with hostile intentions, as shared by confidential sources.
This tense situation arises after law enforcement notified Trump about Iran’s successful infiltration of operatives into the country, with purported access to surface-to-air missiles.
These potential threats posed a significant concern, especially with the highly recognizable Air Force One, which could become an easy target during takeoffs or landings. Anxiety mounted following an attempted attack on his life at the West Palm Beach golf course in Florida last year.
Currently, Trump’s security team insists on him employing decoy planes, some owned by his close friend and real estate mogul Steve Witkoff.
The public learned about his methods for addressing severe security threats when a reporter from Axios revealed these concerns within a new book focused on the current administration.
During one campaign instance, co-campaign manager Susie Wiles accompanied Trump on a different plane, while the remainder of the entourage traveled separately on Air Force One.
“The boss will not be riding with us today,” he mentioned to the team. They further explained that this precaution was essential, and indicated that it might become a regular practice going forward.
