The possibility of an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump by Iran is growing more alarming by the minute.
Tensions are high, with his security detail fearing that his Air Force One jet could become a target for Iranian spy planes or drones.
Due to these concerns, the President has begun traveling in different planes, while the security team uses the Air Force One to create a diversion, according to a source.
This decision follows warnings from law enforcement that Iranian operatives have entered the country and gained access to surface-to-air missiles.
The prominent visibility of Air Force One raises fears of it being an easy target during take-off or landing, particularly after an unsuccessful attack on Trump’s life at a golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, the previous year.
To counter these risks, he’s now using alternate planes owned by close friend and real estate advisor, Steve Witkoff.
These concerns over major security threats were highlighted during the campaign, as reported in a book by an Axios reporter, shedding light on the administration’s unease.
Susie Wiles, co-campaign manager, joined Trump on an alternate plane while the rest of his team traveled separately aboard Air Force One.
“The boss won’t be flying with us today,” he remarked to the group. They explained that using a different plane was crucial and could become standard practice.
