The somber final images of a young South Korean boy gazing out the window have touched hearts worldwide.
This little boy was just moments from meeting a tragic fate, as the plane he was on crashed at Muan International Airport, claiming the lives of 179 passengers in the process.

The child, only three years old, was the youngest victim among those who perished in this devastating accident. He was on his way back home after spending some holiday time with his parents.
The Jeju Airline plane tragically skidded across the runway at Muan Airport, later colliding with a massive concrete barrier, which resulted in a fiery explosion.

This unfortunate incident occurred on a Sunday when the landing gear couldn’t deploy, leading to an almost complete loss of life among the 181 passengers on the Boeing aircraft. Miraculously, only two crew members, a man and a woman, were discovered alive amid the wreckage.
Further reports have sadly noted that five of the victims were children under the age of 10, adding to the already heart-wrenching tragedy. Most of those on the flight were travelers from South Korea, returning from their holiday trips.

Currently, investigators are delving into the factors behind this catastrophic event, particularly focusing on how a bird strike could have led to the landing gear malfunction. The decision by the pilot to land with speed towards the runway’s center, ultimately resulting in the plane colliding with the airport’s concrete barrier, is also under scrutiny.
