The heart-wrenching final images of a young boy from South Korea peering out of a plane window have captured the world’s attention.
This young child was just moments away from a tragic fate as his plane crashed at Muan International Airport, resulting in the deaths of 179 passengers.

The victim, a three-year-old child, was the youngest passenger on that ill-fated flight, reportedly traveling home from a family vacation.
The Jeju Airline flight tragically veered off the runway at Muan Airport, crashing into a concrete barrier and bursting into flames.

This devastating incident occurred on a Sunday when the landing gear failed to descend. Of the 181 passengers onboard the Boeing jet, nearly all perished. Miraculously, only two crew members survived, being pulled from the wreckage.
Reports indicate that five of the victims were children under the age of 10, primarily holidaymakers from South Korea returning home.

Ongoing investigations aim to uncover how a bird strike possibly led to the landing gear failure, and why the pilot attempted to land the aircraft at full speed midway down the runway, ultimately leading it to crash into the airport’s outer barrier.
