Kevin Graves was 28 when he disappeared from the Electric Forest Music Festival in 2018 after an argument with his girlfriend.
Kevin Graves always stayed in touch with his family, so when they didn’t hear from him on July 1, 2018, they knew something must be wrong. He was attending the Electric Forest Music Festival in Rothbury, Michigan, with his girlfriend at the time, according to the Missing Persons Center. After getting into an argument with her, Kevin disappeared, leaving his cell phone and personal belongings behind. Sadly, Kevin has not been seen or heard from since, with no activity on his cellphone or bank account, as reported by ABC 7.
The Electric Forest Music Festival is quite a popular event, drawing in up to 50,000 people each year, according to MLive. This multi-genre festival takes place at the expansive 2,000-acre Double JJ Resort.
To mark the fifth anniversary of his disappearance, Kevin’s family placed a missing persons billboard near the festival entrance in the hope of uncovering new leads, MLive reported. Ground and water searches have been conducted over the years, but, unfortunately, without any success.
“You wake up in the morning thinking about him,” Kevin’s father, Gary Graves, shared with WOOD-TV. “You go to bed thinking about him. I dream about him.”
Over the years, Kevin’s family and friends have kept his memory alive and continued their search for answers through the “Help Us Find Kevin Graves” Facebook page, which boasts nearly 8,000 followers.
“I don’t think I met anybody who didn’t like Kevin; he was big-hearted,” Kevin’s mother, Kathy Graves, reflected in an interview with MLive.
There is a $10,000 reward being offered for any information that could help locate Kevin.
“We haven’t given up and we won’t give up until we have an answer,” Gary Graves told MLive.
Kevin has several distinctive tattoos that could aid in identifying him: a U.S. Marine Corps tattoo on his left shoulder, red lips on his right hip, and an Aquarius sign on his right forearm, as detailed by the Missing Persons Center.
